Flair for numbers and a background in book keeping?  Advertise to help small businesses.  Many small companies choose to work locally with independent bookkeepers – if you have a local pages you can telephone them and let them know what you are doing.  Alternatively you can create a letter of introduction and do a mail shot.

Credit control and data entry:

If you enjoy working on the computer you will find companies outsourcing for people who want to work from home.  

Telemarketing:

Small companies are always looking for people to do some telemarketing from home.  Again, its all about doing some leg work, a simple letter to local businesses is all that it takes.  If this is an option you want to consider, you must be articulate and have a lively phone manner so that you sound appealing.

Proof Reading: Got an eye for detail?  Proof reading can be a great way to earn money from home.  Courses are available at reasonable cost with how to market yourself.

If you really can't bear to be away from the kids, child minding is a great income source.  With more and more  parents having to return to work, you can ease some of the strain by offering a child minding service.  Bear in mind that certain rules and regulations apply.

GARDEN DESIGN: Im a rubbish gardener and marvel at people who have green fingers – if you have a flair and a passion for plants and all things green and dont charge a fortune people will want your number.

INTERIOR PLANT CARE – did you know you can do a course to look after plants?  Looking after  peoples plants whilst they are away or even local offices doesn't require a huge amount of skill and could be a great little earner.  UK college offers a course for £175 and in just 50 hours you can have a certificate!

Chickens, eggs and other stuff with legs:

You can get some amazing hens with beautiful plumage that produce fabulous eggs – nothing like fresh eggs – you wont make a fortune but it will save you money, and you could sell the extra eggs to pay for the feed...

FREELANCE AUTHOR – If you are a born writer and love to write, why not offer your services?  You can freelance just about anything these days from consultancy to magazine articles.
